In this article, I argue that the US is long overdue for a new constitution, citing current issues such as minority rule and low public trust as evidence of decaying institutions. The paper simultaneously analyzes the implications of the cultural differences between 1787 and modern America while also recognizing that there are some timeless foundational American values that are no longer upheld. It explores why amendments alone are insufficient and why a holistic revision is necessary.
